CEIPLA TRADE drives logistics development in Peru: strategic meeting with Paita Port management.

As part of strengthening the CEIPLA ecosystem at the regional level, CEIPLA TRADE held a strategic meeting with the management of the Port of Paita in Peru—one of the most important ports for shipping agricultural export products to international markets.

During this meeting, progress was reviewed on the Economic Development Zone Planning Project—a key initiative aimed at enhancing logistics competitiveness, optimizing port processes, and strengthening the export of agricultural products from northern Peru to the United States, Europe, and Asia. The Port of Paita currently serves as a vital hub within the CEIPLA ecosystem’s logistics chain, thanks to its strategic location and its capacity to handle fresh and frozen products. Products exported via this logistics platform include:

• Hass Avoccado
• Blueberries
• Orange
• Onion
• Other established agricultural products in the region
  

The meeting made it possible to analyze in detail:

• Expansion of logistics and value-added zones
• Upgrading of infrastructure for refrigerated cargo
• Optimization of dispatch times
• Alignment of technical and sanitary requirements
